Philadelphia Sixers Acquire Draft Pick and TPE from Detroit Pistons

Miami Heat Acquires Terry Rozier and TPE from Charlotte Hornets

In a pair of NBA trades reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and confirmed by multiple media outlets, the Philadelphia Sixers have acquired a conditional 2028 second-round pick originally owned by the Detroit Pistons and a trade player exception (TPE) from Detroit in exchange for a TPE.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have acquired guard Terry Rozier and a TPE from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for a TPE and other considerations. The Heat had previously been linked to a potential trade for Jimmy Butler, but those talks reportedly fell through.

The Sixers' acquisition of the draft pick and TPE gives them added flexibility in future trades. The Pistons, meanwhile, receive a TPE that they can use to acquire a player without giving up any salary in return.

The Heat's acquisition of Rozier adds a talented and experienced guard to their roster. Rozier is a 25-year-old who has averaged 14.5 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game over the past three seasons. He is expected to play a significant role for the Heat in the upcoming season.
