Contested Realm Beta Edition Delayed

Contested Realm - Beta Edition Delayed

New Release Date Set for November 10th

Revised Launch Aims for Expanded Marketing and Distribution

The highly anticipated Contested Realm - Beta Edition, set for an initial global release on March 15th, 2022, has been postponed until November 10th, 2022. This decision was made to ensure a more successful launch with expanded marketing efforts and a wider network of local game stores (LGSs) onboard.

The Beta Edition follows the success of the 2022 Kickstarter campaign for Sorcery: Contested Realm, a tactical TCG played on a 5x4 grid. The Beta release will offer players an early glimpse into the game's mechanics and gameplay.

Erik Olofsson, founder of Eriks Curiosa Ltd., the developer behind Contested Realm, explained that the delay will provide additional time for the team to refine the game and secure more distribution channels. "We want to give Contested Realm the best possible chance at success," said Olofsson. "By delaying the launch, we can ensure that we have the resources and support in place to make it a truly memorable experience for our players."

Contested Realm is a highly immersive game that combines elements of traditional card games with innovative grid-based gameplay. Players take on the role of powerful wizards, summoning creatures, casting spells, and battling opponents in a quest for supremacy.

The Beta Edition will include a limited number of cards, providing a taste of the full game experience. Players will have the opportunity to collect cards, build decks, and engage in strategic battles against other players. The Beta release will also serve as a testing ground for the game's mechanics, allowing the development team to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments before the full launch.
