Netherlands international Joshua Zirkzee, 23, has officially completed his transfer from Bayern Munich to Bologna FC 1909. The deal was finalized following a medical examination in the Italian city on Monday evening.

Zirkzee, a highly-rated forward, put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at Bologna until 2026. He leaves German powerhouse Bayern Munich after a four-year tenure, during which time he made 36 first-team appearances and scored five goals.

Zirkzee's move to Italy marks a new chapter in his promising career. The Netherlands under-21 international, who has been capped three times by his country, will now have the opportunity to showcase his talents in the competitive Serie A.
